Our client is seeking a full-time Manager in Data Assurance to join their team in Guernsey. This role is integral to leading assurance teams in providing independent assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other critical information. You will manage project delivery teams and ensure the effective application of technology in audit and advisory services. Additionally, you will interact directly with clients, supporting their needs and fostering strong relationships.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage project delivery teams, ensuring timely delivery of digital audit, data assurance, and technology consulting engagements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of audit and advisory standards for technology application.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert to design and implement data analytic solutions.
- Utilize data analysis techniques to assess the effectiveness of IT controls and report testing.
- Promote the adoption of technology, including AI, within the Risk Assurance team.
- Support strategic initiatives and contribute to shaping the future direction of the practice.
- Oversee client project deliverables and prepare proposal documents.
- Complete diverse assignments while managing teams collaboratively with clients and the firm’s network firms.
- Coach and develop junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with the firm’s policy requirements for projects.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies that impact the field.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance the growth of Risk Assurance offerings.
- Build and nurture relationships with target clients.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in managing internal or external audit and assurance engagements as a data assurance specialist is essential.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to drive projects and manage timelines effectively.
- Strong team working skills and experience in developing junior staff.
- Well-developed listening and questioning techniques.
- A strong desire for personal continuous improvement.
- Experience following formal methodologies and applying risk and quality standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously without direct management.
- Proficiency in building relationships with clients.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services sector and familiarity with the Channel Islands market.
- Experience with data analytics tools, including Alteryx, SQL, Python, PowerBI, and Power Platform.
- Cybersecurity experience, with relevant qualifications.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools, including agentic technology.
