This role requires a dedicated professional to lead the Data Assurance practice within the risk assurance services sector. The successful candidate will work full-time, contributing 37.5 hours per week, and will be based in Jersey. The position involves managing project delivery teams, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of digital audit and data assurance engagements. The manager will serve as a technical subject matter expert, guiding the design and execution of data analytic solutions to meet client expectations. Regular engagement with clients and fostering relationships will be crucial for the successful execution of duties. Furthermore, this role will involve coaching junior team members and maintaining compliance with professional standards. Job Duties:
- Manage project delivery teams and timelines for digital audit, data assurance, and technology consulting engagements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of audit and advisory standards to apply technology appropriately.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert to ensure effective delivery of data analytic solutions.
- Use data analysis techniques to support assessments of IT General Controls and related dependencies.
- Foster technology adoption within the Risk Assurance team, including AI usage.
- Support strategic business initiatives, including advanced data acquisition techniques.
- Oversee client project deliverables and participate in proposal document creation.
- Collaborate with clients and network firms to deliver tailored services.
- Coach and develop junior team members while ensuring policy compliance.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies relevant to the role.
- Work with leadership to promote the growth of the Risk Assurance proposition.
- Build and develop client relationships.
Job Requirements:
- Strong academic background such as a Bachelor or Master's Degree in Accounting, Information Technology, or Business Studies.
- Professional qualifications in accounting or data science preferred.
- Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2 or Agile) is desirable.
- Technology risk certifications (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, CRISC, ISO) are advantageous.
- Internal Audit Certification (CIA) is a plus.
- Experience managing internal or external audit and assurance engagements as a data assurance specialist.
- Excellent project management skills and a highly motivated work ethic.
- Strong teamworking skills and experience in developing junior staff.
- Well-developed listening and questioning techniques.
- Strong desire for personal continuous improvement and commitment to quality standards.
- Excellent verbal and written reporting skills.
- Ability to work autonomously without direct management.
