Manager, Technology Consulting

This role as a Manager in Technology Consulting involves overseeing the delivery of client-facing and internal technology projects. The successful individual will play a crucial role in facilitating project management activities by defining scope, setting plans, and managing delivery against established time, budget, and quality expectations. Key responsibilities encompass acting as a technical product owner, managing project backlogs, and liaising between business stakeholders and technical teams. This full-time position requires collaboration with both onshore and offshore development teams, ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with business needs. Additionally, the role emphasizes the importance of building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while coaching junior team members. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team focused on delivering innovative solutions across various sectors, particularly in Financial Services.

Job Duties:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology projects.
• Undertake project management activities, defining scope and managing delivery.
• Act as a technical product owner for team-developed solutions.
• Work with clients and stakeholders to understand business processes.
• Manage and prioritise project and product backlogs.
• Provide clear direction to development teams and hold team members accountable.
• Communicate business needs clearly to developers and vice versa.
• Ensure proposed solutions are maintainable and scalable.
• Report progress to senior stakeholders on project status and performance.
• Identify and resolve delivery issues and dependencies.
• Build relationships internally and externally with senior stakeholders.
• Coach junior team members and contribute to practice development.

Job Requirements:

• Strong academic background in IT, Computer Science, Business or equivalent experience.
• Project Management certification (AgilePM, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, etc.).
• Significant experience in managing technology projects or software transformation.
• Experience leading software development teams.
• Deep project management experience and strong organisational skills.
• Strong business analysis skills and experience operating as a product owner.
• Technical understanding to engage with developers and solution architects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong team-working and people-management capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously without daily management.
• Understanding of AI tools and technologies in project delivery.
