Our client is an award-winning provider of private wealth, fund and corporate administration services. The Assistant Manager, Fund Administration role involves administering a complex range of fund structures and ensuring exceptional service levels for clients throughout the entire life-cycle. This position is full-time and permanent. You will assist with the supervision of team members, manage team workflows, and support in the billing and management processes.
JOB DUTIES:
- Administer a complex range of fund structures and associated frameworks.
• Assist in establishing new structures and transitioning switch business in line with the client's streamlined approach.
• Provide exceptional service and client experiences for clients and related parties.
• Supervise team workloads, mentor junior staff, and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Assume management responsibilities during the absence of senior management.
• Facilitate the billing and settlement of debt within the team.
• Manage appraisal processes and ensure objectives are monitored with regular feedback.
• Provide proactive resolution for queries raised by colleagues, clients, advisors, and non-executive directors (NEDs).
• Maintain and develop client and advisor relationships, showcasing responsiveness and market awareness.
• Process routine and complex fund operations, including investor calls and company secretarial matters.
• Accurately execute and document all relevant activities.
• Act as an authorised ‘C’ signatory in line with policies and procedures.
• Suggest solutions to line management where appropriate, demonstrating a desire to learn.
• Ensure adherence to workflows, policies, and procedures, providing constructive challenges to enhance efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the funds sector, at assistant manager level.
• Demonstrable experience in fund company secretarial roles.
• Proficient understanding of quality client service expectations.
• Strong capability in managing and motivating staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Deadline-oriented with a collaborative and flexible working style.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Sound technical knowledge of financial services and current regulatory/legal requirements.
• Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) legislation.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative effectively.
• Working towards or holding a professional qualification in chartered secretary (ICSA), chartered accountancy, or law would be advantageous.
