Our client is seeking an experienced and driven IT Project Manager to join their Technology team in either Guernsey or Jersey. This permanent, full-time position involves planning, executing, and delivering a diverse portfolio of technology and business change projects, ensuring all outcomes are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager - Engineering, you will be pivotal in driving collaboration across teams and ensuring successful project delivery from initiation to operational handover. JOB DUTIES:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology and business change projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables appropriate to project size and complexity.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, managing expectations and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Chair and facilitate project governance meetings, workshops, and committee discussions, ensuring productive engagement and clear decision-making.
- Coordinate resources, manage workloads, and optimise team productivity across multiple workstreams.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and driving timely resolutions.
- Support the development of business cases and monitor project budgets to ensure effective cost management and value delivery.
- Manage project change requests, ensuring scope changes are properly assessed, controlled, and communicated.
- Maintain end-to-end quality assurance across project documentation, deliverables, benefits realisation, and project governance.
- Ensure operational readiness by supporting implementation planning, business change impact assessments, and transition into business-as-usual activities.
- Deliver accurate and timely project reporting, ensuring compliance with established project management standards and governance frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best practices across future initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Recognised Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or equivalent.
- Proven experience delivering technology projects and organisational change or transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project governance frameworks and structured delivery methodologies.
- Experience working within complex, matrix-managed environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver successful outcomes across cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading governance forums, steering committees, and stakeholder workshops.
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management, risk management, budgeting, and change control processes.
