Our client is seeking a part-time temporary Customer Greeter to join their team in Guernsey, working 25 hours per week, including Saturdays. This role is vital in providing exceptional support to customers inquiring about various products and services. You will manage a customer waiting list to ensure efficient service delivery, while maintaining clear communication regarding wait times. With a friendly and warm demeanor, you will make every customer feel welcome and at ease. The position requires you to deliver a professional and proficient service, ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction and engagement.
JOB DUTIES:
- Arrive at work in ample time for daily staff briefings before opening.
- Provide an efficient and professional sales service for all customers.
- Strive for customer excellence at every interaction by greeting customers with a smile.
- Offer honest and clear information to customers, ensuring they leave satisfied.
- Assist customers in making informed decisions regarding their needs.
- Become fully competent in the use of computerised systems and relevant applications following training.
- Support all products and services available, addressing customer queries and complaints within one working day.
- Attend any required training sessions to enhance service delivery.
- Be responsive to customer requirements and aware of commercial needs.
- Safeguard the company from potential legal action and uphold regulatory compliance.
- Work selected Thursday nights and Sundays during the Christmas trading period as required.
- Comply with the license and regulatory rules applicable to the position.
- Understand and comply with Data Protection Law and health and safety responsibilities.
- Undertake appropriate training regarding security awareness and comply with information security responsibilities.
- Hold a satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure, where necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in a sales role is essential.
- A strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction is required.
- Ability to effectively handle difficult customer situations.
- Enthusiasm for new technology and its applications.
- Proven ability to produce accurate and quality work.
- Strong communication skills when dealing with customers and staff.
- Ability to promote the company’s brand and maintain high standards of customer care.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with modern retail technology is advantageous.
- An understanding of or interest in mobile technology is beneficial.
- Personal attributes: self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; excellent verbal communication skills; and good personal presentation.
