Temporary Website Lead - 24 months

Our client is seeking a Website Lead to manage and enhance their website, ensuring it remains an effective gateway into the organisation. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract role for 24 months, requiring a proactive and flexible individual with expertise in website management and digital marketing. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving website performance, user experience, and digital engagement while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Job Duties:

  • Lead the continuous improvement of the website using data analytics and stakeholder input.
  • Ensure the website remains a business-critical tool, optimising its functionality and effectiveness.
  • Analyse website performance, user journeys, and stakeholder impact to drive focused improvements.
  • Implement best practices to enhance user experience, accessibility, and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation and with external providers to deliver agreed website enhancements.
  • Ensure website content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and organisational objectives.
  • Maintain website security and compliance, working closely with the Technology and Data team.
  • Support the management and improvement of the Jersey Fraud Prevention Forum’s website.
  • Act as the central point of contact within the Marketing and Communications team for website development and updates.
  • Measure website improvements through digital analytics and annual industry surveys.
  • Provide accurate reporting to support decision-making on website enhancements.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to support strategic goals.
  • Oversee budget control to ensure value for money in supplier engagements.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in website management, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of website analytics, user experience principles, and digital engagement strategies.
  • Experience with website development, content management systems (CMS), and SEO best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor content and messaging to different audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • High attention to detail, creative flair, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with external agencies and managing supplier relationships.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or financial services environments would be an advantage.
