Our client, a well-established accountancy practice, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of their office in Jersey. This is a full-time position based at their Group office, reporting directly to the Directors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing support staff, enabling the client-facing directors to focus on business growth. Applicants must hold Entitled or Entitled to Work status and possess extensive experience within the Jersey finance industry.
Job Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the Directors and wider team
- Oversee the group’s annual PI insurance renewal process
- Manage and maintain the group’s accounting records on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis
- Monitor monthly performance against budget, reporting variances to the Directors
- Prepare the group’s annual budget for review and board approval
- Process quarterly GST returns and oversee monthly payroll
- Liaise with bankers, insurers, and other third-party service providers
- Actively manage the Practice Administrator and assist with tasks where necessary
- Lead and implement ad hoc operational projects as they arise
- Oversee IT infrastructure, including procurement, asset monitoring, and vendor liaison
- Ensure compliance with ISO27001:2022 and Cyber Essentials+ standards
- Manage relationships with property maintenance providers and landlords
- Procure new office equipment and software as needed
- Serve as the point of contact for all HR-related matters, including recruitment, appraisals, and insurance
- Act as the Group’s Data Protection Officer
- Manage the Group’s social media channels and advertising campaigns
- Support referral and reporting obligations within the Group’s wider network
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience within the Jersey finance industry
- Strong organisational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Experience dealing with senior stakeholders
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in office systems and understanding of IT asset management
- Entitled or Entitled to Work status in Jersey
