Temporary Senior Analyst, Compliance - 6 months

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Analyst to join their Compliance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will involve providing comprehensive support across various areas of the Compliance function, with a primary focus on assisting senior compliance members in fulfilling their responsibilities. The Senior Analyst will support key personnel and fully regulated and/or AML supervised entities. Key duties will include onboarding potential new business from existing and prospective clients, as well as supporting general compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the Compliance Register and contribute to the completion of daily compliance tasks. This role requires coordination with internal teams and a proactive approach to compliance matters. Job Duties:

  • Assist the Compliance Manager with daily compliance tasks, including checking and escalating screening results.
  • Review and update the Compliance Register in collaboration with relevant staff.
  • Process customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced customer due diligence (ECDD) for clients and fund investors.
  • Conduct periodic client reviews and raise follow-up tasks as needed.
  • Perform screening using databases, internet searches, and sanctions checks during the new business onboarding process.
  • Attend Risk & Compliance Committee meetings and draft minutes as required.
  • Prepare financial crime prevention training materials.
  • Assist with responses to banking and legal due diligence requests.
  • Support the Compliance Team with general tasks and ongoing review of Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide guidance to client administration teams on compliance-related matters.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' compliance experience, preferably within the finance industry; consideration will be given to strong candidates with relevant exposure to trust company or funds business areas.
  • Currently studying towards or willing to undertake professional qualifications with a relevant professional body, such as ICA.
  • Preferably hold or be near completion of a JFSC Table 5 qualification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with client databases, such as ViewPoint, is advantageous but not essential.
  • A solid understanding of corporate and trust structures.
  • Good knowledge of the AML/CFT/CPF regulatory framework.
  • Strong time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
