Operations Director

Our client is seeking an Operations Director to support the effective running of the Group’s operational functions. This pivotal role involves overseeing day-to-day activities to ensure process consistency, compliance, and efficient resource utilisation across various business units. The Operations Director will focus on monitoring performance, implementing standard operating procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. By coordinating daily operations across Hotels, Transport, Fuels, and Commercial units, the successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing workflow efficiency. Regular updates on operational status, as well as challenges faced, will be a key part of this role. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in operations management, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for driving improvements in process and performance.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee and support daily operational activities across all business units.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between business operations in Hotels, Transport, Fuels, and Commercial units.
  • Monitor workflow efficiency and assist in resolving operational bottlenecks.
  • Provide regular updates on operational status, challenges, and improvements.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures across the Group.
  • Track operational KPIs and performance metrics to ensure compliance with set targets.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Prepare consolidated performance reports and summaries for management review.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal audit and compliance activities by maintaining proper documentation and controls.
  • Assist in implementing audit recommendations and strengthening internal processes.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and operational discipline across all teams.
  • Support budgeting and cost management activities within operational departments.
  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and report variances.
  • Ensure efficient allocation and utilisation of operational resources.
  • Coordinate with Finance on cash flow and procurement-related matters.
  • Supervise and guide operational managers to ensure effective execution of responsibilities.
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing between business units.
  • Assist in training and development initiatives for operational teams.
  • Support HR and management in workforce planning and performance monitoring.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Business Administration, Operations, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in operations management or business administration, preferably in a group or multi-entity organisation.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, compliance, and performance monitoring.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong organisational and coordination abilities.

Wealth Planner

Our client is looking for a knowledgeable Wealth Planner to join their team in the Isle of Man. In this pivotal role, you will focus on providing holistic wealth planning advice, while fostering and maintaining excellent client relationships. You will play a key part in ensuring that both prospective and existing clients receive tailored advice on pensions and investments, with the aim of achieving positive client outcomes. This role also allows you to engage in local business development activities. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to support each other in achieving organizational goals. Your proactive service will help meet the ongoing financial needs of clients and ensure compliance with relevant advice standards and regulations. Job Duties:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while demonstrating professional conduct and integrity
  • Provide holistic wealth advice focused on pensions, investments, and overall wealth planning

  • Ensure compliance with current advice standards, regulations, and internal procedures
  • Carry out necessary administrative tasks related to client interactions
  • Recommend suitable financial products and services tailored to client expectations
  • Engender strong relationships with clients to inform them about the wealth management services available
  • Contribute to local business development efforts and manage client mandates
  • Participate actively in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Conduct suitability reviews for clients, ensuring their needs are consistently met
  • Collaborate with Client Administration and Client Services teams to ensure timely processing of client business
  • Network with professionals within the industry to promote the firm's services
  • Present technical subjects confidently at seminars and conferences
  • Engage in company-wide projects aimed at enhancing service efficiency
  • Conduct individual client consultations and maintain thorough documentation of meetings
  • Keep informed of industry best practices and market trends
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent service delivery across teams

Job Requirements:

  • Level 4 qualified with a relevant financial planning qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a wealth planning role
  • Strong understanding of financial planning products and practices
  • Competence in providing wealth planning advice under T&C policies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Familiarity with financial planning software, such as XPlan and Voyant
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various audiences
  • Strong relationship-building and networking capabilities
  • A commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and compliance with regulations
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach to work
